The Effect of Nefredebak and Pilates Training on the Balance of Children with Down Syndrome

Abstract
Background and Aim: Down syndrome is a genetic disorder caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of one of chromosome . There are different ways to improve some problems in this disorder such as physical and mental training. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a Neurofeedback and Pilates training course on the balance of children with Down syndrome.
Methods: The sample consisted of 20 children with Down syndrome who were studying at the exceptional school in Kermanshah. Subjects were randomly divided into two groups: Neurofeedback and Pilates. The first group received refractory training for 8 weeks and the second group underwent Pilates training. The 8-channel Procump rollback device was used to carry out the neurorfeedback training. Leaf balance test was used in both groups of pretest and post test in both groups. To compare the two groups, t-test was used at the significance level of 0.05.
Results: The results showed that both types of training significantly improved the balance of the children in the patient, but the comparison between the groups showed that the Pilates exercises had a more significant effect on neurofeedback education.
Conclusion: According to the results, it can be suggested that exceptional children's centers and parents can use both types of training to improve children's balance.
