Abstract

Abstract
Background and purpose:
Almost,Keratocystic odontogenic tumor is asymptomatic lesion and In rare cases, may be in older patients . The purpose of the case report is evaluation of clinical,radiographic,pathological,treatment and follow up of the female 69 years old with keratocystic odontogenic tumor .
Case report:
Patient was an edentolus ,69 years old woman that because of painless swelling was reffered to surgeon from 3 months ago.In panoramic view,ill defined multilocular radiolucency was seen.In microscopic view,was reported inflamed keratocystic odontogenic tumor.Treatment was done with peripheral ostectomy.In 14 months follow up,no recurrence was seen.
Conclusion:
Keratocystic odontogenic tumor because of variable clinical-radiographic view ,should be in differential diagnosis of intra-osseous oral lesions in old age.In old patients, because of physical disability,selection of treatment procedure and longterm follow up after surgery is necessary.
