Abstract
Bacgrand and Objective: Evidence suggested Level 25-Hydroxyvitamin D has a relationship with obesity and anthropometric indices. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of aerobic interval exercise training on 25-OH Vitamin D Serum levels in obese and overweight women.
Materials &Methods: This quasi-experimental research were experimental and pret-est and post test with the control group. 20 obese and overweight women referred to Jahad Clinic Laboratory were randomly selected and divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group was affected by an eight-week exercise training program including 10 minutes of warm-up, 30-45 minutes of aerobic interval exercise (two minutes of exercise and two minutes of rest) with an intensity of 40-45% and 70-50%, 10 minutes of cooling-up and for three weeks. Weight, height, body fat mass, waist circumference and hip circumference, and serum 25- OH Vitamin D Serum levels were measured before and after intervention in both groups .Data analysis was performed using independent and dependent t test. The significance level was considered as α = 0.05.

Results: The result showed that eight weeks of training, significant increased the serum level of 25-OH Vitamin D (P = 0.002), and anthropometric indexes in the experimental group decreased significantly (P < 0.05).
Conclusion: Ataerobic interval exercise training lead to improved levels of vitamin D and anthropometric indexes in obese and overweight people. And hese exercise can be used to improve the anthropometric indexes and vitamin D deficiency in obese people.
