Therefore, we decided to investigate the incidence of parathyroidectomy in patients with thyroid or subtotal thyroidectomy. Subjects and Methods: This is a descriptive and retrospective study. The data of patients who underwent the thyroidectomy were studied by census method. Required variables including age, sex, type of pathology, the removal of the parathyroid, doctor's field of surgery, cancer status, the size of the removed thyroid and the type of surgery done. The data were collected from through hospital records and pathology by the prepared questioner list were collected. Data were entered into SPSS software version 17 and analyzed using statistical tests. Results: Of 1159 patients, 1002 (86.5%) women and 157 (13.5%) were male. Of the total thyroidectomy, 81 cases (7%) of accidental parathyroidectomy were found. The mean age of patients was 41.01 ± 6.20 y; mean thyroid diameter was 6.20 ± 2.16 cm. The most common type of pathology in the examined patients was multinodular goiter (52.8%). There was a statistically significant difference between the mean surgeon's work experience with the accidental removal of the parathyroid gland (P<0.05). Conclusion: According to the results, it can be concluded that accidental parathyroidectomy is not very common in patients undergoing thyroidectomy. The factors of malignant status, ward of surgery, surgeon's work experience and pathology of the lesion are effective on its frequency.}, keywords = {accidental,Parathyroidectomy,thyroidectomy}, title_fa = {بررسی شیوع پاراتیروئیدکتومی اتفاقی در افراد تحت تیروییدکتومی از سال 1380 لغایت 1395}, abstract_fa = {زمینه و هدف: به علت فراوانی زیاد موارد تیروئیدکتومی و برداشته شدن اتفاقی پاراتیروئیدها به عنوان عارضه در این عمل و در نتیجه هیپوپاراتیروئیدی گذرا و دائمی، بر آن شدیم تا به بررسی شیوع پاراتیروئیدکتومی اتفاقی در افراد تحت تیروئیدکتومی پارشیال یا توتال بپردازیم. روش بررسی: مطالعه حاضر از نوع توصیفی-مقطعی و گذشته نگر بوده و اطلاعات بیماران تحت تیروییدکتومی قرار گرفته شده به روش سرشماری مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند. متغیرهای مورد نیاز شامل: سن، جنس، نوع پاتولوژی، وضعیت برداشتن پاراتیروئید، فیلد جراحی پزشک، وضعیت بدخیمی، سایز تیرویید برداشته شده و نوع عمل جراحی انجام شده از پرونده های بیمارستانی و بخش پاتولوژی توسط چک لیست از قبل تهیه شده جمع آوری شدند. اطلاعات بدست آمده وارد نرم افزار SPSS ورژن 17 شده و با استفاده از تست های آماری مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. یافته ها: از 1159 بیمار مورد بررسی، 1002 نفر(5/86%)زن و 157 نفر(5/13%) مرد بودند. از کل تیروئیدکتومی ها 81 مورد(7 % ) یک غده پاراتیروئید بصورت پاراتیروئیدکتومی اتفاقی مشاهده شد. میانگین سنی بیماران 20/6±01/41 سال،میانگین قطر تیروئید 16/2±620/6 سانتیمتربود. شایع ترین نوع پاتولوژی در بیماران مورد بررسی، گواتر مولتی ندولر با 52.8% فراوانی بود. اختلاف آماری معناداری بین توزیع فراوانی برداشتن غده پاراتیروئید با وضعیت بدخیمی ضایعه، نوع بخش بستری و نوع پاتولوژی گزارش شده وجود داشت. بین میانگین سابقه جراح با برداشتن اتفاقی غده پاراتیروئید هم تفاوت آماری معناداری دیده شد (05/0 P- <). نتیجه گیری: با توجه به نتایج میتوان گفت پاراتیروئیدکتومی اتفاقی به دنبال جراحی تیروئیدکتومی از فراوانی بالایی برخوردار نبوده و فاکتورهای وضعیت بدخیمی ضایعه، نوع بخش بستری، سابقه جراح و نوع پاتولوژی ضایعه بر روی فراوانی آن موثرمی باشد.}, keywords_fa = {شیوع,پاراتیروئیدکتومی اتفاقی,تیروئیدکتومی}, url = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_82630.html}, eprint = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_82630_4efbf2f24bf4d6a7fd9ff04b3a942632.pdf} }
