Subjects and Methods:  34 patients with head and neck cancer that received radiation therapy as their only form of treatment underwent a voice analysis. The voice analysis consisted of an audio recording made to include three samples of a sustained phonation of the vowel/a/.  Volume Unit Meter was monitored to peak at 0 during a practice count to 10. The best phonation of the three samples was played back for voice analyzer. Up to 9 seconds of the sustained vowel sound /a/ was analyzed for perturbation, percent of voicing and average fundamental frequency. This analysis was repeated 6 months following the completion of radiotherapy. Results: The voice parameters of 15 patients with laryngeal tumors re analyzed separately from the 19 patients with non-laryngeal tumors. Patients with laryngeal tumors had 12% increase in the  fundamental frequency, 14% improvement in perturbation and 52% improvement in percent voiced. Changes in percent voiced were statistically significant. Patients with non-laryngeal tumors had 42 % increase in the  fundamental frequency compared to the baseline frequency before radiotherapy, 14% improvement in perturbation and 52% improvement in percent voiced. Patients with non larygeal head and neck tumors had 42% improvement in basic frequency compared to the baseline frequency before radiotherapy. Conclusion: Radiotherapy has significantly improved the voice quality of patients with early stage of laryngeal tumors.}, keywords = {Radiation,head and neck cancer,Voice Quality,Ahvaz}, title_fa = {اثر پرتو درمانی به گردن بر کیفیت صدای بیمار}, abstract_fa = {زمینه و هدف: هدف مطالعه بررسی آنالیز کیفیت صدای بیماران رادیوتراپی شده به گردن با توجه به پارامترهایی از جمله فرکانس پایه، شدت آشفتگی صوت (perturbation) و درصد واکداری(Percent voiced) به منظور بررسی اثر رادیوتراپی در کیفیت صوت بیماران است. روش بررسی: تعداد 34 بیمار که سرطان سر و گردن داشته و فقط با روش رادیوتراپی درمان می شدند به عنوان جمعیت مورد مطالعه انتخاب شدند. صوت از طریق ضبط صوت بیمار قبل و بعد از درمان و بیان واج صدادار /آ/ مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفت. با استفاده از واحد سنج حجم، طول دورة صحبت کردن آنها از صفر تا ده محاسبه شد. سه بار نمونهگیری شد تا بهترین نمونه انتخاب گردد. حداکثر 9 ثانیه از تولید مداوم صدای /آ/ از نظر آشفتگی، درصد تولید صوت و متوسط فرکانس تحت آنالیز قرار گرفت. 6 ماه بعد از خاتمه درمان رادیوتراپی ارزیابی مجدد انجام شد. یافتهها: از 34 بیمار 15 مورد تومور سر و گردن از نوع لارنژیال و 19 نفر از نوع غیر لارنژیال داشتند که در هر دو گروه بطور مجزا پارامترهای صوتی آنالیز شد. بیماران مبتلا به تومورهای لارنژیال افزایش 12 درصدی در فرکانس پایه نسبت به قبل از رادیوتراپی و بهبود 14 درصدی در شدت آشفتگی صوت perturbation و 52 درصدی در در صد قدرت صوتpercent voice  داشتند. تغییرات percent voiced از لحاظ آماری معنادار بودند بیماران مبتلا به تومورهای غیر لارنژیال سر و گردن میانگین بهبود 42 درصدی در فرکانس پایه نسبت به قبل از رادیوتراپی نشان دادند. نتیجهگیری: رادیوتراپی به میزان بالایی سبب بهبود کیفیت صوتی در بیمارانی میشود که در مراحل اولیه تومور حنجره قرار دارند.  }, keywords_fa = {پرتو درمانی,سرطان سر و گردن,کیفیت صدای بیمار,اهواز}, url = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_49592.html}, eprint = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_49592_edb0040b7344d743fe0fcda447d74c74.pdf} }
