Several mutual risk factors exist between ED and CAD; therefore ED has been recognized as CAD risk equivalent. The purpose of this study was to assess internal pudendal artery angiographic findings in patients with CAD and ED. Subjects and Methods: Forty male candidate for coronary artery angiography who suffered from ED were included in this study. The participants' ED was evaluated by Sexual Health Inventory for Men (SHIM), a five question version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF) questionnaire. After coronary artery angiography, in the same session patients underwent selective pelvic artery angiography. Results: A relationship was seen between the severity of ED and the number of coronary arteries with atherosclerosis (P=0.028). Furthermore, a direct relationship was also seen between the probability of atherosclerosis in pelvic arteries and severity of ED (P=0.017). Atherosclerosis of pelvic arteries was more prevalent in patients with 2 and 3VD (P=0.03) and also in patients with diabetes (P=0.023). Conclusions: Although the prevalence of ED is high in patients with CAD, atherosclerosis of pelvic arteries is not common in these patients; and most lesions in their pelvic arteries were seen in internal pudendal arteries. Severe ED suggests severe coronary artery involvement and of all standard risk factors only diabetes had a direct relationship with atherosclerosis of pelvic arteries.}, keywords = {Internal pudendal artery,Coronary Artery Disease,impotency}, title_fa = {بررسی یافته‌های آنژیوگرافیک شریان پودندال داخلی در بیماران کاندید آنژیوگرافی عروق کرونری مبتلا به ایمپوتنسی در بیمارستان امام خمینی (ره) شهر اهواز}, abstract_fa = {زمینه و هدف: اختلال نعوظ(Erectile Dysfunction) یک مشکل شایع پزشکی بوده و شیوع آن در جمعیت بیماران مبتلا به بیماری عروق کرونری بیشتر است. بسیاری از ریسک فاکتورهای ED با بیماری عروق کرونر مشترک بوده و لذا ED به عنوان Risk equivalent  Coronary Artery  (CAD)Disease پذیرفته شده است. از این رو هدف از این مطالعه بررسی یافته های آنژیوگرافیک شریان پودندال داخلی در بیماران کاندید آنژیوگرافی عروق کرونری مبتلا به ایمپوتنسی می باشد. روش بررسی: چهل بیمار مرد که کاندید آنژیوگرافی عروق کرونری بوده و از ED شاکی بودند وارد مطالعه شدند. ED در این بیماران با استفاده از نسخۀ 5 سؤالی پرسشنامۀ IIEF (International Index of Erectile Function) که SHIM (Sexual Health Inventory for Men) نامیده میشود، ارزیابی شد. بیماران بعد از آنژیوگرافی عروق کرونری در همان جلسه تحت آنژیوگرافی عروق لگنی قرار گرفتند. یافتهها: شدت ED با تعداد عروق کرونر مبتلا به آترواسکلروز ارتباط داشت (028/0P=). همچنین احتمال وجود آترواسکلروز در عروق لگنی با شدت ED ارتباط داشت (017/0P=). آترواسکلروز عروق لگنی در بیمارانی که 2,3VD  بودند (03/0P =) و نیز در بیماران دیابتی شایعتر بود (023/0P=). نتیجهگیری: علیرغم شیوع بالای ED در بیماران مبتلا به CAD آترواسکلروز عروق لگنی در آنها شایع نیست و اکثر پلاکهای آترواسکلروزی در عروق لگنی این بیماران در سطح شریان پودندال داخلی است. وجود ED شدید، احتمال درگیری شدید عروق کرونر را مطرح میکند و از میان ریسکفاکتورهای استاندارد تنها دیابت با آترواسکلروز عروق لگنی ارتباط دارد.}, keywords_fa = {شریان پودندال داخلی,بیماری عروق کرونر,ایمپوتنسی}, url = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_47410.html}, eprint = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_47410_9452c935a8c23a132630ffc702d50c68.pdf} }
