It seems that these fractures are affected by race, culture and geographic differences.  Understanding the predisposing factors that contribute to hip fracture in our region can be valuable for future treatment planning. The aim of this study was, therefore, to evaluate the incidence of hip fracture in our region Subjects and Methods: In this retrospective study, characteristics of the patients (age, sex, mechanism of the fracture), with inter-trochantric and femoral neck (intra- and extracapsular) fractures were collected from their medical files at Imam khomeini and Razi hospitals of Ahvaz. Data were analyzed by SPSS program and Fisher exact test, and P < 0.05 was considered as a significant difference. Results: This study included 594 hip fractures. The mean age was 64.99±21.9 years.  Fifty-five percent of the patients were male. Falling down was the mechanism of fracture in 83% of our patients and high energy trauma 16%. Forty-six percent of the patients had intertrochantric and   (53.9%) had femoral neck fractures. Fifty-six percent of the patients were under the age of 75. Eleven percent of the patients had separate extremity fractures. The patients were divided into separate age groups and analyzed based on type of their fracture. (P<0.75). Trauma mechanism had significant positive correlation with separate extremity fractures (P <0.001). Conclusion:  According to our study, the mean age of the hip fracture is 10 years younger than western countries with a higher incidence in males. In younger patients, high energy trauma has positive correlation with hip fractures.}, keywords = {Hip fracture,Intertrochantric,Femoral neck,Epidemiology}, title_fa = {بررسی مقایسه‌ای شیوع شکستگی‌های داخل و خارج کپسولی مفصل هیپ در بیمارستان‌های امام خمینی (ره) و رازی اهواز در سال‌های 1380 تا 1386}, abstract_fa = {زمینه و هدف: هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی اپیدمیولوژیک شکستگیهای هیپ میباشد. شکستگی هیپ یکی از انواع شایع شکستگی اندام تحتانی است که عوارض مهمی دارد. به نظر میرسد که تفاوتهای اقلیمی، فرهنگی، نژادی و اقتصادی بر میزان شیوع آن مـؤثر است به همین علت تهیه آمار مطابق با منطقه ما میتواند مقدمة بررسی علل زمینهساز آن باشد. روش بررسی: با مراجعه به بایگانی بیمارستانهای امام خمینی (ره) و رازی شهر اهواز تعداد 594 پروندة مربوط به بیماران مبتلا به شکستگی هیپ در سالهای 1380_1386 بررسی شد و اطلاعات مورد نیاز در فرمهایی ثبت گردید و سپس نتایج این اطلاعات از طریق نسخة 13 نرمافزار SPSS  استخراج گردید. یافتهها: میانگین سنی بیماران  99/64 با انحراف معیار 9/21 سال بود. 55% بیماران را مردان و 45% را زنان تشکیل میدهند. مکانیسم حادثه در 83% بیماران افتادن ساده و در 16% تصادف بود. 46% بیماران شکستگی اینترتروکانتریک و 9/53% شکستگی گردن فمور داشتند. 56% از بیماران سن زیر 75 سال داشتند. 5/10%، نیز شکستگی همراه در اندام داشتند. طبق آمارهای به دست آمده، ارتباط معناداری بین جنسیت (p=0.018) و مکانیسم حادثه (p=0.036) با نوع شکستگی وجود دارد. نتیجهگیری: میانگین سنی شکستگی هیپ در مطالعة ما نسبت به کشورهای غربی 10 سال کمتر است و درصد مردان بیشتر از زنان میباشد. در سنین پایین تروماهای با انرژی بالا، با شکستگی هیپ ارتباط معنادار دارد.}, keywords_fa = {شکستگی هیپ,اپیدمیولوژی,اینترتروکانتریک,گردن فمور}, url = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_49715.html}, eprint = {https://jsmj.ajums.ac.ir/article_49715_f29f605e7bf724e5331d76ca80f79084.pdf} }
